SONORAN PLAZA

Located in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, a chief end for this project was to create an outdoor refuge where associates could traverse and engage in a setting that acknowledged and enjoyed the natural beauty of the desert. We were commissioned to develop 3 new structures; a 4-story Parking Garage, Training Center, and Administration Building, and as a result an outdoor plaza would emerge in the space between. Stair-towers and the entire eastern face of the garage were clad in a Corten steel-mesh creating opportunities for vegetation to arise and establish this haven in the desert.
